Welcome to the official web site of

Tim is one of a very few  actors in the UK to hold a clean

full PCV / PSV driving licence.

As well as a standard driving licence, Tim holds a full PCV licence, formerly known as a PSV licence, which he has held since 1984. This licence entitles Tim to drive any passenger carrying vehicle from mini bus to large coach through to double decked vehicles, and he has never been involved in any accidents or collisions in all that time.

Tim has recently been involved in two projects where his skill as an actor as well as his PCV licence were essential. The first, was “Frank Foster, Superstar”, a training DVD where he played a driver for a large bus company training other drivers how to react to conflict situations, conduct daily checks correctly, and general driver safety. The project for Lancashire County Council was initially rolled out to every bus driver in Lancashire and Cumbria, but has now been put forward for inclusion in the national Bus Driver CPC training.

Tim was also cast as the bus driver for ITV’s recent drama, “Boy Meets Girl”, with Martin Freeman and Rachel Stirling. Although only one small scene, it meant that the realism of having the actor actually drive the bus and act opposite the lead was maintained, not to mention that it saved having to keep swapping the actor with the driver between shots.

If your project requires an actor to drive a PCV vehicle, then Tim is more than happy to come along for an interview, meeting or audition. Please use the contact link for more information.
